On May 7th, a large number of friends and family members
attended the retirement reception for Mr. Ormiston and Mrs. DeWeese
in Cunningham. Bob Heimerman , representing the board of education,
presented each of them with a lifetime USD 332 Activity Pass and a
plaque for their years of service in the district.
Mr. Ormistion has been the superintendent of Cunningham Grade
School and Cunningham High School for 27 years. He has been
involved in many educational changes during his time with us. Mrs.
DeWeese has also experienced many changes during her 30 years of
employment at Cunningham Schools, starting out in the library and
ending her career as secretary in the Central Office.
We will all miss you and wish you the best! Congratulations and
enjoy your next phase. Remember: “Life begins at
retirement!”
