CELEBRATING 100 DAYS OF LEARNING
On February 2, 2012, the kindergarten, first and second grade celebrated the 100th day of school. We divided into three groups. In Mrs. Ricke’s room, we did one hundred exercises and wrote our name on graph paper with one hundred squares. In Mrs. Liebl’s room, we made hats with 100 decorations on them. In Mrs. Hartley’s room, we drew pictures of ourselves of how we will look when we are 100 years old. Students also shared their collections of 100 items that they brought from home. These are on display in the hallway.
We ended our celebration of being 100 days smarter with our traditional 100 balloon pop race and then enjoyed a trail mix made with “almost” 100 different snack items. Damon in sixth grade and Caleb in first grade won the estimation contests. Everyone enjoyed our 7th celebration of 100 days of school!
