3rd Grade Makes a Tetrahedron
After Mrs. Panek read the book, "All of the Above", students in the 3rd grade class got to try their hands at making their own tetrahedron. The book was about a group of middle school students who came from some rough backgrounds who agreed to join the Math Club and be part of a project to break a record by building the largest tetrahedron, which was made of over 16,000 pieces! We agreed that we weren't going to try to break any records. It took a lot of patience to fold each piece accurately and Mrs. FitzSimmons was our guide. We appreciate her taking the time to show us a video clip and help us make our own tetrahedron!
