Kansas State Fair: An affair of the ART
The 2014 Kansas State Fair has come and gone however many exciting things occurred for the elementary art students that submitted entries into the fine arts categories. Last year students, grades K-5, completed 3 major art projects during their art classes. These were then entered into the 2014 Kansas State Fair. These were then displayed within the Oz Gallery and judged by an art teacher / professional artist. All students received a participation ribbon and only first, second and third places are awarded. After these places in each category are decided, the judge then decides to award Brigmann Art Studio Merit Awards to the top 20 out of all categories (over 1,155 entries.)
