Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day

Second grade student, Kendall was selected as a regional winner and then the statewide winner in his age group for the poster contest.  A total of 1,118 students from the ages of 5 to 13 participated in the contest.  He won a new bike and helmet, a family package from the Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark, and a $50 gift card from the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association of Kansas. 

Before Kendall was awarded his prizes, Zach Oswald and Trooper Chad presented a Safe Kids Kansas presentation.  Trooper Chad talked about gun safety, wearing seatbelts and using helmets when riding bikes.  Congratulations, Kendall!
