Cross Country Runners Medal at Skyline

The Cunningham High School cross country team competed in their second meet at Skyline on September 9, 2017.  The teams competing included: Skyline, South Central, Macksville, Otis-Bison, St. John, Chaparral, Central Christian, Kingman, Stafford, and Cunningham.

Henry Huelskamp and Skylar Hennessee ran the first 5K race of their career and placed in the junior varsity competition.  Henry placed 2^nd in a time of 21:45.28 which was fast enough to letter for the year.  Skylar finished 10^th in a time of 24:19.35.

Lena Westerman competed in the varsity girl’s race with 25 runners.  She improved her time from last year’s race with a 26:21.05 clocking to finish 14^th.

Coach Stackhouse was happy with each of the runner’s performances.  We are making improvements and hope to improve our times as the meets get more competitive.

We will be competing at Stafford County Golf course on Thursday, September 14^th at the St. John invitational beginning at about 4:30.
