T-Birds Defeat the Cats
December 8, 2018 was a tough night for the Cunningham Wildcats as they were defeated by the Skyline Thunderbirds 73-18 in the Thunderbird Invitational Tournament.
The T-Birds flex their muscles in the first quarter leading 30 to 4 after one quarter. Daylen Schnittker and Taner Hansen each made a basket for the Cats.
Nathan Lohrke and Hansen each put in a three-point basket in the second quarter and Skyline added 19 to end the first half 49 to 10. Skyline scored 16 more points in the third quarter to one point for the Cats. Hansen scored 6 of the 7 Cunningham points in the fourth quarter. Isaiah Reed added a free throw. Skyline put in 8 points for a final score of 73-18.
Our ball handling must get better versus pressure as that is where the majority of our 37 turnovers came from. We also need to do better at the free throw line. The Journey continues.
