Wildcats Fall to Minneola

The Cunningham Wildcats traveled to Minneola on December 6, 2019 to take on the Wildcats.  Cunningham came up on the short end of a 65 to 46 score.

Minneola came out fast behind the shooting of Tuck Lang who scored all 18 of their first quarter points.  Cunningham did not roll over as they put up nine points of their own. The scoring was shared by Daylen Schnittker, Nathan Lohrke, Isaiah Reed who each had a two-point basket and Trey DeWeese who scored on a three-point shot.

Cunningham was able to slow the hot shooting Lang and held him to three points in the second quarter.  Lane Halderson warmed up and put in seven points with Erik Paris adding a basket to lead Cunningham to a nine to eight-point advantage for the quarter.  Cunningham trailed at the half, 18 to 26.

Both teams scored often in the third quarter.  Five of the six players for Cunningham put points on the board with Halderson leading the way with seven points.  Cunningham trailed by 10 going into the fourth quarter.

The lack of players caught up with the Cats in the fourth quarter with Minneola extending their lead to 19 for the final score of 65 to 46.

This was our first chance to play against a high school defense with only seven players out.  Austin Snow was unable to play due to a shoulder injury caused from a car-deer accident.
