The Jr High Scholars bowl teams competed at Skyline yesterday.  Varsity went undefeated against all 4 other teams and won 1st place.  Taner Hansen was 1st place individual for the Varsity competition.   The Junior Varsity did well for their first meet too!

Prom Meal and glass need to be paid for this week for your dates.  Glass is $7.50, Meal is $10.00. 

Congratulations to members of the Main Street Singers and Main Street Singers Ladies Ensemble and to soloists:   Nathan Albers (Vocal,) Heather Kerschen (Vocal,) and Timothy Patton (Alto Saxophone) for receiving Superior I Ratings at the KSHSAA Regional Music Festival.  GOOD LUCK AT STATE!!!!

Congratulations to members of the Brass Choir, Main Street Singers Men’s Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble and to soloists:  Paige DeWeese (Oboe and Vocal,) Jenna Fitzsimmons (Vocal,) Heather Kerschen (Flute,) Elijah McAdam (Tuba,)  and Kylee Ricke (Vocal,) for receiving Outstanding II Ratings at the KSHSAA Regional Music Festival.

Do you like to take pictures?  You could earn $500 in the Images of Aging Photo Contest.  The University of Kansas Medical Center and Landon Center on Aging are sponsoring a photo contest which is open to amateur photographers of all ages.  The purpose of the contest is to bring attention to the many faces of alder adults. There must be one person who is 65 years or older in the picture.  See Mrs. Lee for more details.  Contests ends on May 15.

Students interested in nursing:  Juniors and sophomores are invited to Fort Hays State University to The Summer Nightingale Experience.  This two day event focuses on careers in nursing.  This event will be held on June 18 and 19. 

Space is limited to 20 students, apply now!  Cost is $75 and incluldes t-shirt, housing and camp activities.  You will stay in a residence hall overnight and obserbe clinical units at Hays Med. For more information see Mrs. Lee!
