Our class will focus on writing skills. Students will complete daily writing prompts. Students will also write responses, essays, and projects over the material that we will be reading in class. We will improve our writing skills by studying different areas of grammar and usage on the online program No Red Ink. Students are expected to earn ten AR points each quarter.
1st quarter: A Midsummer Night's Dream, creative writing, one-act plays
2nd quarter: Poetry Unit and creative writing
3rd quarter: Career research, paper, and presentation
4th quarter: Various short research projects
