Cunningham Cross Country Begins Season
The cool mornings turned to hot afternoons as the Cunningham Cross Country team began their third season on August 16th.
There are high expectations for the Wildcat squad as they return all five members of the sixth place state team from a year ago. This year also brings the beginning of a new era with Mollie Panek joining the team as the first Cunningham girl cross country runner.
Practices have been hard, but the runners are digging in and trying to improve on their times from a year ago. The boy’s team will be led by seniors Chase Ward and Tyler Cannon, juniors Luke McAdam and Justin Stackhouse and sophomore Luke Panek.
The season will start on September 9th at Skyline at 4:30 for the JV girls and approximately 5:30 for the varsity boys.
