Spirit week ended in the CHS gym with the Cunningham High School Pep Band playing as Wildcat fans entered the gym. The CJH Cheerleaders lead the crowd in cheers. The CHS Spiritleaders provided laughter for all with their “nerdy” costumes and hilarious dance “BBF-My Best Friend’s Brother”. Next the Scholars’ Bowl team was given “bits” of wisdom, including Lucky Charms and Smarties (but no DumDums) to take with them to the State Tournament. The King candidates Garrett, Janek, Luke, and Justin were given an EXREME MAKEOVER by Lissy, Becca, Bayleigh, and Hunter in preparation for the Homecoming Coronation. Their EXTREME MAKEOVER included cocktail dresses, make-up, and a jeweled crown. The CHS basketball players competed in teams against each other in the BASKETBALL PONG competition. Since the Skyline TBIRDS are really just “chickens” the CHS cheerleaders led the players in the Chicken Dance. Racing across the gym during the dance was the SKYLINE CHICKEN being chased by the CUNNINGHAM WILDCAT-----and as the crowd cheered Mr. Wildcat tackled the Skyline chicken, rolled it around, pinned it to the floor, and raised his arms in VICTORY! Great pep rally, cheerleaders!
Lane and Shanelle from first grade carried the flowers and the crown. Lissy and Garrett were crowned queen and king during the halftime ceremony.
