SCKSEC Speech Language Pathologists Meet in Cunningham
The speech-language pathologists (SLPs) of the South Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative (SCK-SEC) met Thurs., Feb. 16, at Cunningham. The group meets on a near-monthly basis to share ideas, seek advice from one another, continue education, and to hear concerns of the coop Director, Bruce Givens. For this meeting, new technology was demonstrated by Mary Stackhouse, SLP at Cunningham Schools. An added bonus was the celebration of Mr. Givens milestone birthday!
There are 13 SLPs currently employed by SCK-SEC, and this was the first meeting in a while with all in attendance. The ladies were impressed with the facilities and with the Country Food Market, from which several enjoyed lunch. SCK-SEC provides special education services to the following counties: Kingman, Pratt, Barber, Kiowa, Comanche, Stafford, and Harper.
