In 8th grade literature, we will focus on a variety of topics and skills to prepare for high school. Students will work on grammar skills by using the online program No Red Ink. They will also work on writing skills by adding to group blogs on Blogger. Students will practice speaking skills throughout the year through class presentations. Students are expected to earn ten AR points each quarter.
1st Quarter: Short Stories and Essay Writing
2nd Quarter: Poetry and Figurative Language Analysis
3rd Quarter: Culminating Research and Presentation Project
4th Quarter: Anne Frank and the Holocaust
