This year is broken into two courses. The fall semester will be speech, and the spring will be English II. We will cover the following topics.
Speech
1st quarter and 2nd quarter: Speech analysis, organization, and presentation, varying by the intended audience and purpose
Speeches given this semester will include: impromptu, informational, persuasive, group presentations, special occasion speeches, and job interviews.
English II
3rd quarter: Creative writing, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the Poetry Unit
4th quarter: Career research, paper, and presentation
