The Middle Ages: The Canterbury Tales,
The Renaissance: Renaissance Poetry, Hamlet
2nd quarter:
The Restoration: "A Modest Proposal," Gulliver's Travels
The Romantic Period: Romantic Poetry, and Frankenstein
3rd quarter:
The Victorian Period: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Sherlock Holmes
4th quarter:
The Modern Period: The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings
