The first concert of this school year had a large audience in attendance. The junior high mixed chorus performed first, followed by the junior high concert band. Then the high school mixed chorus and concert band performed several selections. Mr. Johnson thanked the First National Bank for providing the Main Street Singers posters each year, and honored Mr. Dave Ellison for his many years of service to the Cunningham Schools. The Main Street Singers provided lots of entertainment with their songs from Grease. Once again, a lot of talent and hard work was in evidence, as our musical students provided an evening of enjoyment for the audience. Mrs. Michelle Brady and Mrs. Cindy Panek were accompanists for the mixed chorus groups and Main Street Singers.
Another opportunity to enjoy an evening of music is coming up. Cunningham will host the Mass Band Concert on November 6th at 7:00 in the Cunningham gym. Mr. Lanny Scholes will be the guest director of 250 band students from nine schools.
