“Geometree”

During our study of triangles, the 4^th hour geometry class made their rendition of the Sierpinski’s Triangle.  Their designs were incorporated in a holiday theme to form a Christmas tree to help decorate the upstairs hallway at Cunningham High School.

To draw Sierpinski’s Triangle, start with a single triangle and connect the midpoints of the sides to draw a smaller triangle.  If you repeat this pattern over and over, you will form a figure like the ones on the photo.

The students in the class are Cambry, Lauren, Lillian, Isabelle, Zach and Brayden.  Geometry is taught by Mr. Stackhouse.
