Schnittker Finishes 43rd at State
The Cunningham High School Cross Team completed their season with Daylen Schnittker competing at the state meet held at Wamego on October 27, 2018.
It was a warm day which is not the best this time of year for running distance. There were 88 participants in this year’s race and the course is the most challenging that we see all season. Walking the course before the race can be a little overwhelming for a 1st timer to this venue.
Daylen ran a very respectable race and finished 43rd in a time of 19:31.2. This experience will be invaluable next year for all the returning runners as three members of this year’s team are sophomores.
This state meet was a culmination of another very successful year for the Cross Country team. I want to thank everyone for their support of our team and the administration for the accommodations while traveling to the state meet.
