Zoo Keeper Visit
On Thursday, April 2nd Ashley Burdick and her intern Sara presented to the 2nd and 3rd grade. Ashley is a Zoo Keeper and Vet assistant at the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo. Sara is one of the interns. Ashley taught us all about the zoo animals, her responsibilities, and about how much Science, Math, Writing, and Speaking she does at work. We learned what the animals ate, how they feed them, where the food comes from, and about the care and cleaning at the zoo. We learned how they acquire their animals and how the zoo is funded. Ashley brought Norbert, a 3 branded armadillo with her. The students asked many wonderful questions and we learned a lot. We appreciate Ashley, Sara, and the Great Bend Zoo and the time donated to our class. Thank you!!
